️ Techniques for Stacking Snow with a Snow Pusher
-
Use the Blade in a Straight Position
Set your snow pusher’s blade straight forward (not angled). This allows the pusher to move snow directly ahead, reducing strain on the equipment and ensuring a more controlled stack. -
Drive Straight into the Pile
Approach the snow pile head-on. As you move forward, gradually raise the pusher to lift the snow upward, creating a pile. This method utilizes the vehicle’s momentum to assist in stacking. -
Avoid Lower or Angled Blade Positions
Operating the pusher in a lowered or angled position can cause equipment damage, such as twisting the A-frame or impacting the moldboard with the lift arms. Always keep the blade straight and at a proper height. -
Maintain Safe Pile Heights
Aim for snow piles that are no taller than twice the height of your stacking equipment. Taller piles can become unstable and pose safety hazards.
